Installation may be as simple as system assembly, water line attachment and plugging the system into an outlet.

Some installs require a bit more work, such as rough electric to get an outlet near the machine, rough plumbing to bring water near the system and/or custom cabinetry to install the system in a kitchen or finished space. 

For personal home use, we recommend the Durastill system. These systems make up to 8 gallons a day, which is plenty enough for a single family for normal drinking and cooking needs.  Plus, you can always add a demand pump and faucet to get the water right in your kitchen and into your fridges icemaker. The size fairly compact at 19" (height) by 20" (wide) by 13" (deep).

We can help facilitate the purchase of the distillation system along with the installation. Please contact us to discuss options.

Our installation labor rates are $120/hr. per technician. We do charge for drive time from our shop in Lockport, IL, and a vehicle/gas surcharge of $80 per visit. Simple installations will take between 6-8 hours, with a minimum of 4 hrs. charged for a site visit, regardless of drive time and installation time. On average, a simple installation will cost $560 on the lower end, up  $1,040 for more complicated installations.

The systems require some maintenance, depending on your homes water quality and the usage. These maintenances can be fairly easily handled by you. 

To prevent hard mineral build up in your distillation tank, its recommended you drain the boiler chamber every 1-2 weeks, which takes about 5 minutes. Just please make sure the machine is off and the boiler chamber has cooled to prevent accidental burns. 

If you take care of this simple process, you will have do a more thorough tank cleaning about twice a year. This can be done by yourself. It will take an hour or two.

For those who want to be more hands off, we offer this service at an hourly rate of $70/hr, with a minimum 4 hr rate and one time vehicle/gas surcharge of $80. On average, a tank cleaning will cost about $360.

If this maintenance is skipped, hard minerals will build up in the boiling chamber and eventually crack the boiler chamber. Once that happens, you will need to repair the systems by purchasing a new boiler chamber. This is considered system repair.
